History: On July 11 1991, at the height of a solar eclipse, Alex was born Johnathan Alexander Clark to his parents. His childhood was quite normal and happy up until he turned five and his vampiric heritage kicked in. Since it had been many generations since a vampire was born in their family, his parents freaked out when their son grew fangs and his eyes turned red. Believing he was possessed, Alex was kept out of school and locked up in the house until he was "cured". They tried a number of things to try to remove the possession, such as getting a priest to perform an exorcism on him, locked him in a room for days at a time, hit and screamed at him whenever he showed any of his vampiric features, and barely fed him so as to weaken his body and force the demon out. When nothing seemed to work, they decided to hide his features by forcing him to wear colored contacts and had his fangs routinely pulled, though they kept growing back.

When Alex was eight, his baby brother Devon was born. Forced to keep away from the newborn child for fear of corrupting him like he was, Alex snuck in to take care of the baby when his parents and older brothers weren't around and did so well thanks in part to the empathy he had as a vampire. Devon grew to love his youngest older brother and he wasn't the only one. Derek, the oldest of the Clark boys, was one of the few members of the house who treated him with any sort of kindness and secretly taught Alex not only to read and write, but also basic math on the off chance that he would either escape his confinement or somehow become what their parents wanted.

While he would still be subjected to exorcisms on a weekly basis, his parents turned from abusive to negligent due to their attention shift to the new baby in the house, which suited Alex just fine. He made himself scarce around his family members by sticking to his basement room and spent the nights teaching himself things Derek didn't either want to or never had the chance to. This continued on until he was thirteen and was the one to catch Devon's vampire powers awakening. Fearing his parents doing the same thing to Devon that they did to him, Alex helped Devon hide his new powers and allowed his baby brother to feed on his emotions so that his eyes and fangs wouldn't pop out around the rest of the family. To help give Devon a smokescreen, Alex started acting out against the rest of the family and causing his parents to start up the cycle of abuse again for fear that the demon possessing him was getting stronger.

This lasted until Alex was sixteen as Alex had finally dealt with the abuse enough and Devon had encouraged him to leave so as to not see his beloved brother taking anymore abuse for being different. Taking what few possessions he had in a backpack, Alex finally left the house for the first time since he was five and started living on the streets. He eventually made his home in an old junkyard, sleeping in a rusted shell of a car, and survived by feeding off people, usually by posing as a hooker and using sex as a smokescreen for his feeding. When he was seventeen, a gremlin demon by the name of Daniel Richardson found Alex living in the car, and wanting to restore the car, tried to convince him to give up the car to him to restore and sell. That backfired spectacularly, so Daniel instead convinced Alex to come with him to learn how to repair cars and restore his home to its former glory. Alex agreed and Daniel took both him and the car back to his garage.

Both Daniel and Alex soon learned Alex had a knack for working on cars and motorcycles hardly seen out of gremlins and Alex was added as a permanent employee of the garage once he had enough training to not screw anything up. During this time, his eighteenth birthday came and went and with Daniel's blessing and some birthday money, Alex legally changed his name from Johnathan Clark to Alexander Daniels, taking his surname from Daniel's name to honor what the fellow demon had given him for just giving him an opportunity and treating him like an actual person. Having still been in contact with Devon through email, his brother happily used his new name and didn't care if it didn't appear through names that they were still siblings. Not long after his name change, a vampire family found him and wanted him to join their family. It was because of them that Alex found out that his subtype of vampire, empathic vampires, were extremely rare and thought to have been extinct due to them breeding more with normal humans than other vampires and that Alex was the only one they knew about. Despite the information, Alex turned them down due to his belief the demon and vampire community left him to his parents to be abused.

Things settled into a routine with Alex working all day and partying all night to feed off the emotions of people at clubs, as his history had led him to primarily survive off of emotions instead of regular food. In fact, this was how he met his boyfriend. One night when he was twenty, he was in the back alley of a club having sex and feeding on a woman when a pixie demon stumbled upon them. Instead of fear or disgust, the pixie was unafraid and fascinated by Alex, having never seen a vampire of his type before, and asked if he could be the next person Alex fed on. Alex instantly agreed and after shooing off his previous meal, gave the pixie the best blowjob of his life by feeding off of him. After that feeding and because of how the pixie reacted to seeing him with his more monstrous features, Alex was smitten and begged him to allow on him to feed on him in the future. The pixie agreed.

Thus started the courtship of Alex and the pixie demon, whose name was Jordan Leslie. Alex didn't want to admit that he loved him and Jordan, being a pixie, just twisted things until Alex reluctantly admitted that he thought of Jordan as more than just a good meal and Jordan told Alex that he owned him (it's a pixie thing). Once that major block was out of the way, the two moved in together and their relationship became pretty stable with the usual ups and downs. Devon would visit Alex from time to time to hang out with his big brother and have time away from their family. Then the worst happened when he was twenty-three. Alex's parents found out where Alex work and right around closing, they confronted him in an attempt to get Alex to return home with him so that they could get their precious Johnathan back and remove the demon possessing him. It was at the point of Alex yelling that Jordan walked in on them and after the pixie switched up their sense of direction and took him home. Not much later, Alex's parents were found murdered and the vampire family had taken Devon in so he would be safe from foster families harming him. Jordan had learned the truth about Alex's past and what his parents did to him and because he was a pixie, who are notoriously protective of what they consider theirs, he sent the vampire family to take care of them for him and for Alex's sake so he no longer had to fear them hunting him down again.

Abilities: As a vampire, Alex shares a number of traits common to them as a whole, such as irises turning red and fangs growing when hungry and/or feeding, increased physical durability and stamina, and the ability to mesmerize/hypnotize people with his eyes.

Because he's an empathic vampire, Alex feeds upon the emotions of others. When he feeds, the emotions he's drawing on strengthens, much like blood welling up at a wound, so that Alex can satisfy his hunger much easier. While he can drain a person completely of their emotions, he usually doesn't because he can sustain himself usually through the amount of time he can get himself and his partner through sex. Also because of his specific type of vampirism, Alex can sense emotions and tends to pick out who he feeds on through a person's general emotional state.
